Join us the week of March 10-14, for a fun filled week of FREE programs provided by the park rangers of Lake Corpus Christi State Park!

We provide daily park programs to the public the week of Tuesday, March 10, through Saturday, March 14. Park rangers will lead one program a day this week. Programs are FREE with purchase of park entry or State Park Pass. All ages welcome, and no experience necessary in participation.

The dates, times, and events that will be provided are:

• Tuesday, March 10, 10 a.m.-11 a.m.: Nature Hike! - Easy 1-mile hike exploring the flora and fauna of the South Texas Thornscrub. Meet at Catfish Cove trail. Closed toed shoes and water required. 
• Monday, March 11, 9 a.m.-11 p.m.: Bird Feeder Decorating! - Join park rangers at the Bird Viewing Area where supplies will be provided so that you can decorate your very own Bird Feeder!
• Thursday, March 12, 1 p.m.-3 p.m.: Kayaking with Rangers! - Kayaking 101 provided by park rangers. Meet by the Long fishing Pier. Kayaks and safety equipment provided by staff. children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
• Friday, March 13, 7 a.m.-9 a.m.: Birding 101! - Guided bird walk for all levels of Birders. Bring water bottle, closed toed shoes, and binoculars if possible. Meet at the CCC Pavilion or "Castle"
• Saturday, March 14, 1 p.m.-2 p.m.: Geocaching 101! - High tech scavenger hunt! Meet at the Old CCC Pavilion or "Castle.
