Start your new year off on the right foot.

What better time to begin healthy habits than the start of a new year? Join a park ranger for the first hike of the new decade! This guided one-hour nature hike will cover approximately one mile of relatively flat terrain along the Turks Cap Trail and campground.

Where: Meet at the Turks Cap Trail parking lot near site #157.

When: 8:30-9:30 am, Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Bring:

• Drinking water

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Weather-appropriate clothing

• Binoculars (optional)

• Camera (optional)

• Friendly, leashed pets are welcome!

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.

• Program will be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
