Description:

This site offers a native pollinator garden and large trees in the front area and a new 700 foot long boardwalk over the freshwater wetlands in the back.  The raised boardwalk and observation tower are wheelchair accessible.  The observation tower halfway down the boardwalk permits a panoramic view of the pond and the surrounding flats and marsh.

Birding on the Boardwalk, a weekly guided birding tour is offered free of charge on Wednesdays at 9:00 am and the species of birds visible in this large open area depend on the season (migrations, you know!).

Our resident alligators can occasionally be seen sunning themselves on the water's edge, in the summer getting some shade under the observation tower, or gliding gracefully through the water in search of another resting spot.
