More than insects, pollinators are an important part of our world.

Goose Island State Park has many natural wonders for you to discover.  This program will focus on our pollinators, pollinators are more than insects and include creatures like birds and mammals.  For this program meet a park ranger at the Day Use Area.

 

When:   3:00 PM (Every Thursday in October)

Where to meet:  Day Use Area.  This is the picnic area with the covered shelters.  Park in the first parking lot.  

Things to bring:  Binoculars, water, sun screen, shoes suitable for walking, a camera, and wear weather appropriate clothing. There will be a few pairs of binoculars available for loan, but it is best to bring your own.

Program may be canceled or postponed in event of rain.

 There is no fee for attending this program, although park entrance is required to enter the park.  Entrance fees can be paid at Park Headquarters and are $5 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free, or free with a current Texas State Park Pass.  Appropriate for all ages.  If no one is present by 3:15 the program may be canceled.
