Description:

Are you interested in how to use plants to survive off the land or the history of how others used to do so? If so, this may be the program for you.

Join the interpretive park ranger on a walk through the park to learn about Choke Canyon’s plants and how the Native Americans of the area and others used them.

This program is held every Friday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and lasts one hour. Please meet at the Emperor Run trail head near the boat ramp in the day use area.

Please bring your own water, sunscreen, bug repellant, and, if desired, binoculars. Remember to dress for the weather.

This event is free to attend for campers and day users. Park entrance fees are $5 per person (13 years and older).
