Visit the birding hotspots of the park!

Join volunteer (and retired park ranger and bird guide) Bob Showler to look for birds at various points of interest at Goose Island State Park. Be prepared to drive your own car around the park. We may be walking up to ½ mile at certain stops.

Bring: Sun protection, water, and binoculars. We will have a limited supply of loaner binoculars if you do not have your own.
When: 8:30-11:00am
Where: Meet at the Day-use picnic area

This is a great opportunity for beginner birders as well!

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
