Interested in trying archery? This program is for you!

Learn and practice the basics of archery with a ranger. This program is an introduction to basic archery and will provide lessons and experience in archery safety and shooting skills. All archery and safety equipment is provided.

Please arrive at the Day Use Area at least 10 minutes before your designated start time.

Bring:

• Drinking water
• Closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes are best)
• This program is outdoors; please dress for the weather.

Registration is required via phone (361-729-2858) or in person at Park Headquarters.

Register for one of four time slots:

• 10:00-10:45 a.m.
• 11:00-11:45 a.m.
• 1:00-1:45 p.m.
• 2:00-2:45 p.m.

FYI:

• Must be at least 10 years old to participate. Anyone 17 & under must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the program.

• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.

• Program will be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.

• Groups larger than eight, please contact Ranger Sarah for a private event.
